आशिक होकर इश्क कमावे, सो प्रीतम मन भाता है।
लोक वेद की कैद दूर कर, प्रेम देव को ध्याता है॥ [1]
रोवे हँसे मौन हो बैठे, प्यारे के रंग राता है।
सरसमाधुरी का रस पीकर, दिलवर के गुण गाता है॥ [2]

Hindi Meaning

जो स्वयं प्रेमी बनकर प्रेम धन कमाता है, ऐसा प्रेमी भक्त ही प्रियतम (श्री कृष्ण) के मन को भाता है।
जो लोकाचार और वेदों के बंधनों को त्यागकर, केवल प्रेम देवता का ध्यान करता है, वही सच्चा भक्त है। [1]
कभी रोना, कभी हँसना, कभी मौन रहना — ये सब उस प्रेमानंद में डूबे हुए प्रेमी के लक्षण हैं, जो प्रियतम के रंग में पूरी तरह रँगा हुआ होता है।
सरस माधुरी कहते हैं कि ऐसे प्रेमी भक्त प्रेम का सरस रस पीकर, प्रियतम के गुणों का सदा प्रेमपूर्वक गान करते हैं। [2]

(savaiya) ashik hokar ishk kamave, so pritam man bhata hai.
lok ved ki kaid dur kar, prem dev ko dhyata hai.. [1]
rove hnse maun ho baithe, pyare ke rng rata hai.
sarasamadhuri ka ras pikar, dilavar ke gun gata hai.. [2]

Transliteration

(Sawaiya) Aashik Hokar Ishq Kamave, So Preetam Man Bhaata Hai. Lok Ved Ki Kaid Door Kar, Prem Dev Ko Dhyaata Hai. [1] Rove Hanse Maun Ho Baithe, Pyaare Ke Rang Raata Hai. Saras Madhuri Ka Ras Peekar, Dilwar Ke Gun Gaata Hai. [2] - Shri Saras Madhuri Only the one who truly becomes a lover and gathers the treasure of love can please the heart of the Beloved, Śrī Kṛṣṇa. He who casts aside worldly customs and even scriptural bindings to worship only the god of love is the true premī devotee. [1] Sometimes he sheds tears, sometimes he laughs, sometimes he sits silent—these are the signs of a heart immersed in the bliss of divine love, fully colored in the Beloved’s hue. Saras Madhurī says—tasting the sweet nectar of love, he remains absorbed in lovingly singing the glories of his Beloved. [2]
