गौर श्याम की कृपा बिन, जानि सकै कोउ नाहिं।
कोटि जन्म तप होय किन, परसि सकै नहिं छाइँ॥

Hindi Meaning

गौर-श्याम वर्ण वाले दिव्य युगल श्री राधा-कृष्ण की कृपा के बिना, इस नित्य विहार रस को कोई भी जान नहीं सकता।
प्राप्त करना तो बहुत दूर की बात है, चाहे कोई करोड़ों जन्मों तक तपस्या क्यों न करे, फिर भी इस रस की परछाईं तक उसे प्राप्त नहीं हो सकती।

Hinglish Transliteration (रोमन पाठ)

gaur shyam ki kripa bin, jani sakai kou nahin.
koti janm tap hoy kin, parasi sakai nahin chhain..

Transliteration

Gaur Shyam Ki Kripa Bin, Jaani Sakai Kou Naahin. Koti Janam Tap Hoy Kin, Parasi Sake Nahin Chhanhai. - Braj Ke Dohe Without the grace of this divine couple of fair and dark complexion (Shri Radha Krishna), no one can ever know the rasa (essence) of their eternal love-play (nitya-vihār). Even if one performs penance for millions of lifetimes, one cannot attain even a shadow of this rasa.
