सहजो सुमिरन कीजिए, हिरदे माहिं दुराय।
होठ होठ सूँ ना हिलै, सकै नहीं कोई पाय॥

Hindi Meaning
सुमिरन चुपचाप, छिपा कर मन ही मन करना चाहिये।
न जीभ हिलनी चाहिये और न होंठ हिलने चाहिए।
सुमिरन इस प्रकार करना चाहिये कि केवल सुमिरन करने वाले को और जिसका सुमिरन किया जा रहा है यानी उस प्रभु को पता हो।
संसार को जताने के लिये सुमिरन करना तो अपने वास्तविक उद्देश्य से भटक जाना है।

Sahjo Sumiran Kijiye, Hirday Maahin Duray.
Hoth Hoth Sun Na Hile, Sake Nahin Koi Paay.

One should perform devotion to God silently and secretly through the mind. Neither the tongue nor the lips should move. It must be done in such a way that only the one remembering and the One being remembered (the Lord) are aware of it. If done to gain attention or display before the world, it loses its essence and sacredness.
