Yena Vrrindavanam Nama Punyakshetrasya Bharate.
Radha Shodasha Namnam Cha Vrrinda Nama Shrutau Shrutam.
Tasyah Kridavanam Ramyam Yena Vrrindavanam Smrritam.

-214 (Section 4 [ShriKrishn Janam Khand], Chapter 17, Verse 213-214)Nārāyaṇa says to Nārada: O Nārada, listen attentively as I reveal the foremost reason why this sacred forest in the land of Bhārata is known as Vṛndāvan.
In the Śrutis, among the sixteen revered names of Śrī Rādhā, one name is “Vṛndā.
” Because Śrī Rādhā forever engages in loving pastimes in this forest, it is remembered and glorified as Vṛndāvan.
