Hindi Meaning

Hinglish Transliteration (रोमन पाठ)

han janm tasu sikatasu maya n labdhn, rase tvaya virahita kil gop kanya.
yastavaki n padapangaktijusho jushantu, nikshipy tatr nijamanggamanataptam..
- shri kuresh svami (isvi 1010, shri ramanujachary ke shishya)

Transliteration

Ham Janma Tasu Sikatasu Maya Na Labdham, Rase Tvaya Virahita Kila Gopa Kanya. Yastavaki Na Padapanaktijusho Jushantu, Nikshipya Tatra Nijama~ngamanataptama. - Sri Kuresh Swami (c. 1010 CE, disciple of Sri Ramanujacharya) O Śyāmasundara! Alas! I was not even blessed to be born as a single dust-grain of Vṛndāvana’s sacred soil. What disfavor of Yours is this? When, during the Rāsa dance, the gopīs were burned by the fire of separation from You, they found relief by touching that very dust— dust sanctified by the traces of Your lotus footprints. O Lord, by the touch of those particles alone, the torment of longing is soothed, and the burning heart finds peace.
