हौं तेरे वारनें मंद गति चलि पिय सौंहीं।
मेरे पाछैं दुरि-मुरि नीलाम्बर ओढ़ि सखी,
अबही मिलऊँ लालहिं गुपत की गौंहीं॥ [1]
आतुर ह्वै आवैंगे तब न बनैंगी, मेरो कह्यौ
मानि प्यारी, कहत हौं तोहीं।
श्रीबीठलविपुल विनोद बिहारी सौं हिल-मिलि,
कै तेरौ ज्यौं जानैं कै हौं हीं॥ [2]

Hindi Meaning
अपनी प्राणसखी श्रीराधा से प्रेम-लीला की चातुर्यपूर्ण योजना करते हुए सहचरी (विठ्ठल विपुल) श्री राधा से मधुर वाणी में कहती है — हे सखी! मैं तो आप पर बलिहार जाती हूँ।
चलिए अब धीरे-धीरे प्रियतम की ओर चलते हैं।
मैं शपथपूर्वक कहती हूँ, इस रचना में ऐसा अलौकिक रस छिपा है कि उसका स्वाद विलक्षण होगा।
यदि आप नीलाम्बर ओढ़कर मेरे पीछे छिपकर गुप्त रूप से चलें, लाल से इस अवस्था में मिलन होगा तो एक नये रंग का कौतुक होगा। [1]
किन्तु यदि आप विलम्ब करें और मार्ग में ही श्याम आतुर होकर आ मिले, तो वह रस नहीं उपजेगा जिसकी मैं सजीव योजना बना रही हूँ।
इसलिए मैं जो कह रही हूँ, उसे सहर्ष स्वीकार कीजिए और बिना विलंब के चलिए।
इस अचानक मिलन में जो विपुल, जो अद्भुत विनोद की पराकाष्ठा प्रकट होगी — वह या तो आप ही जान पाएँगी, या फिर मैं ही उसका अर्थ समझ पाऊँगी।

However, if you delay, and Shyamasundara meets you halfway in eager excitement, the rasa I am vividly conducting will not unfold in its intended fullness. So I kindly ask you — trust my words and come with me without delay. In this sudden meeting with Shyamasundara, a wondrous, playful ecstasy will manifest — either you alone will be able to relish it, or perhaps only I will truly comprehend its essence. [2]
