(राग सारंग)
माधौ मोहिँ करौ वृंदावन-रेनु।
जिहिँ चरननि डोलत नँद-नंदन, दिन-प्रति बन-बन चारत धेनु॥ [1]
कहा भयौ यह देव-देह धरि, अरु ऊँचें पद पाएँ ऐनु।
सब जीवनि लै उदर माँझ प्रभु, महा प्रलय-जल करत हौ सैनु॥ [2]
हम ते धन्य सदा वै तृन-द्रुम, बालक-बच्छ-बिषनाऽरू बेनु।
सूर श्याम जिनकें सँग डोलत, हँसि बोलत, मथि पीवतु फेनु॥ [3]

Hindi Meaning

ब्रह्मा जी विनयपूर्वक स्तुति करते हुए कहते हैं—“हे माधव! मुझे श्री वृन्दावन की पावन रज बना दीजिए।
यह वही दिव्य रज है, जिस पर आप अपने चरणों से विचरण करते हैं और प्रतिदिन वन-वन जाकर गौओं को चराते हैं।

हे प्रभु! देवत्व का शरीर प्राप्त करना या ब्रह्म-पद को पाना भी आपके इस वृन्दावन-धाम के आनंद के सामने तुच्छ है।
महाप्रलय के समय मेरी रची हुई समस्त सृष्टि नष्ट हो जाती है और उस समय आप ही समस्त जीवों को अपने उदर में धारण करते हुए जल में शयन करते हैं।
परंतु यह वृन्दावन तो महाप्रलय से भी अप्रभावित रहता है। [2]
मुझ ब्रह्मा से भी अधिक धन्य तो ब्रज के तृण-द्रुम, बछड़े, बालक, गौएँ और वंशी आदि हैं, जिनके साथ, हे श्यामसुन्दर! आप वन-विहार करते हुए हँसते-खेलते और दही मथकर मक्खन का आस्वादन लेते हैं। [3]

jihin charanani dolat nnda-nndan, dina-prati bana-ban charat dhenu.. [1]
kaha bhayau yah deva-deh dhari, aru unchen pad paen ainu.
sab jivani lai udar manjh prabhu, maha pralaya-jal karat hau sainu.. [2]
ham te dhany sada vai trina-drum, balaka-bachchha-bishanaऽru benu.
sur shyam jinaken sng dolat, hnsi bolat, mathi pivatu fenu.. [3]

Transliteration

(Rag Sarang) Madhau Mohin Karau Vrindavan-Renu. Jihin Charanani Dolat Nand-Nandan, Din-Prati Ban-Ban Charat Dhenu. [1] Kaha Bhayau Yah Dev-Deh Dhari, Aru Oonchen Pad Paen Ainu. Sab Jeevani Lai Udar Manjh Prabhu, Maha Pralay-Jal Karat Hau Sainu. [2] Ham Te Dhanya Sada Vai Trn-Drum, Balak-Bachchh-Bishnaaroo Benu. Sur Shyam Jinken Sang Dolat, Hansi Bolat, Mathi Peevat Phenu. [3] - Sri Surdas, Soor Sagar (1107) Brahmā, offering his prayers, says— O Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa), make me the dust of Śrī Vṛndāvana. This is that divine dust upon which You walk with Your lotus feet while tending the cows from forest to forest every day. [1] O Lord, even attaining a celestial form or the exalted position of Brahmā appears insignificant before the bliss of this Vṛndāvana Dhāma. At the time of the great dissolution, the entire creation created by me is destroyed, and You alone sustain all beings within Your being while resting upon the cosmic waters. Yet this Vṛndāvana remains untouched even by that great dissolution. [2] More blessed than I, Brahmā, are the grasses and trees of Braja, the calves, the cowherd boys, the cows, and even the flute — for, O Śyāmasundara, with them You roam the forests, laughing and playing, and delight in churning and relishing butter, says Sūradāsa. [3]
