सहचरि देखत दुहुन को, पिंजरा पंछी तोल।
भूख प्यास पोषत भले, रटत प्रिया मृदुवोल॥

Hindi Meaning
सहचरी युगल सरकार (श्री राधा-कृष्ण) को अपलक निहारती रहती है, मानो वह पिंजरे में बंद किसी पक्षी के समान हो गई हो।
जिस प्रकार पिंजरे का पक्षी अपने स्वामी द्वारा दिए गए दाने-पानी पर ही जीवित रहता है, वैसे ही सखी अपनी भूख-प्यास की निवृत्ति केवल उनके दर्शनों से करती है और निरंतर श्री प्रिया जी के नामों को ही रटती रहती है।

sahachari dekhat duhun ko, pinjara pnchhi tol.
bhukh pyas poshat bhale, ratat priya mriduvol..

Transliteration
Sahchari Dekhat Duhun Ko, Pinjara Panchhi Tol.
Bhookh Pyas Poshat Bhale, Ratat Priya Mridubol.

The sahacarīs gazes unblinking upon the divine couple, Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, as though she has become like a bird confined within a cage. Just as a caged bird survives only on the food and water given by its master, in the same way the sakhī sustains herself solely through Their darśana, satisfying all hunger and thirst by beholding Them, while constantly repeating the sacred Names of Śrī Priyā Jī.
