हम अहीरि कह जानईं, जोग जुगुति की रीति।
नंदनंदन ब्रत छाँड़ि कै, को लिखि पूजै भीति॥

Hindi Meaning
जब उद्धव योग की युक्ति-विधि की चर्चा करते हैं, तब ब्रज की गोपियाँ उत्तर देती हैं— हम तो सीधी-सादी ग्वालिनें हैं, हम योग साधने की क्रिया कैसे समझेंगी? तुम ही बताओ श्री कृष्ण के निष्काम प्रेम के एकमात्र व्रत को छोड़ कर कौन दीवार पर बने चित्र या अंकित चिह्न/अक्षर आदि की पूजा करेगा?
Hinglish Transliteration (रोमन पाठ)
ham ahiri kah janain, jog juguti ki riti.
nndanndan brat chhandai kai, ko likhi pujai bhiti..

Transliteration
Hum Aheeri Kah Jaani, Jog Juguti Ki Reeti.
Nandnandan Vrat Chhandi Kai, Ko Likhi Pooji Bheeti.

When Uddhava speaks of the methods and practices of yoga, the Braj gopīs reply: “We are simple cowherd women — how can we understand such practices of yoga? You tell us, who would abandon the single vow of selfless love for Śrī Kṛṣṇa and turn instead to worship a painted image or mere markings or letters upon a wall?”
