Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu
Shri Hit Harivansh Mahaprabhu (1502–1552 AD) is a central pillar of the Braj Bhakti movement, widely revered as the incarnation of Lord Krishna's divine flute (Vamshi). He founded the Radhavallabh Sampradaya and established a unique path of devotion centered around Radha Dasya (servitude to Shri Radha) and Sahachari Bhava.

In his Sanskrit masterpiece, the Radha Sudha Nidhi (Verse 85), Mahaprabhu states:
यत्पादपद्मनखचन्द्रमरीचिगौरं-
मालोक्य जीवितमयीं पदवीं भजन्ते।
दास्यं तदेव मम देहि रसेकरूपे
राधे कदा नु नयने पिबतः सुधार्द्रम्॥
Translation: O Radha, the embodiment of sweet Rasa! Looking at the effulgence of the crescent moon of Your lotus feet's nails, the devotees attain their eternal life. When will You bestow upon me that divine servitude (Dasya), as my eyes drink the nectar of Your lotus feet?
Manuscript Reference & Historical Archive
The earliest documented manuscript containing the compositions of Shri Hit Harivansh, specifically the Hit Chaurasi, is preserved in the Vrindavan Research Institute (VRI MS. No. 4291), transcribed in Vikram Samvat 1635. Another critical pothi is archived at the Radha Vallabh Temple library in Vrindavan.
Original Theological Commentary
Unlike other traditions that emphasize the union and separation of the soul from God, Shri Hit Harivansh introduced the concept of Nitya Vihar (eternal continuous play). Here, there is no separation (Viraha). Shri Radha is the supreme active sovereign controller (Swamini) of the bower, and Lord Krishna remains subordinate to Her love. The devotee's goal is to serve as an intimate Sakhi (Sahachari), observing and decorating the Divine Couple in the groves of Vrindavan.
